Michael R. Matejevich, CPA -- President
Having over 39 years experience in all areas of healthcare, serves clients in all aspects of healthcare financial management. Experiences range from auditor for Medicare, Medicaid, and Blue Cross to CFO of 460-bed Regional Medical Center in Baltimore. Since establishing Healthcare Affiliates, Inc. has expanded client base to 40 states and over 400 clients served. Services have ranged from cost report issues to medical office buildings and fringe benefit plans as well as a variety of reimbursement issues.

With over 44 years of healthcare experience, has been exposed to all aspects of the healthcare delivery system. From operational management responsibility on a day-to day basis to strategic/long range planning, has functioned in a leadership role to achieve positive results. Whether managing a hospital, long-term care nursing unit, or construction of a medical building, performance was consistently outstanding and furthered the business, personal and health objectives of the respective clients and constituents.

Carole A. Matejevich, CPA --Vice President, Operations
With over 33 years of progressive financial responsibility culminating in a 10 year period as Chief Financial Officer of a multi-state healthcare receivable management company, a broad base of managerial and operational experience was gained. Led Central HealthCare through a number of "firsts"; first audit (Big 6), first major borrowing, first major main-frame computer selection and installation and finally prepared the company for purchase by Medaphis Corp. (NASDAQ). Was requested to continue on with the new ownership but felt new challenges were waiting with Healthcare Affiliates growing client base. Currently responsible for HAI operations, corporate finance, and human resource functions.

Lawrence LoBianco, CPA
With over 39 years of experience in health care finance, brings a wide range of insight and skills. Experience includes stints in the Big-Eight public accounting firm, a financial health care consulting corporation, a major health care insurance company, and a 460-bed regional medical center. For 11 years, has led a privately-held consulting company serving clients in the Baltimore, Maryland metropolitan area.
